To connect the tremendous skills and resources of retired Orange County citizens with innovative early childhood development providers serving low-income children. Retirees can help close the cognitive learning and language gap facing poor youngsters in Orange County. They can help such children secure a better education and expand their lifetime opportunities. In doing both, they can help the County become a better place to live for all of us.
Description:
We place retirees of all professional backgrounds and interests in positions with early childhood development organizations. Retirees apply their skills and talents to benefit disadvantage children.
History:
The Foundation helped establish an independent Invest In Children Fund at OCCF. The Fund provides grants to improve the quality of early childhood development programs in Orange County serving low income children.
