Oakwood Village University Woods and Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge are two continuing care retirement communities providing independent-living, assisted-living, assisted-living memory care and skilled nursing/rehab therapy care for older adults in Madison and Dane County. Oakwood Village University Woods is located on 6201 Mineral Point Road and Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge is located on 5565 Tancho Drive.

History:
Founded in 1948, Oakwood Lutheran Senior Ministries is a non-profit organization serving older adults of all religious denominations and economic backgrounds. Oakwood Lutheran Senior Ministries is affiliated with 37 Lutheran congregations in Dane County. Oakwood Lutheran Senior Ministries has set the standard in retirement living and health care for over 60 years, and has frequently been named one of the 20 best continuing care communities (CCRC) in America by New Choices Magazine. Oakwood Village University Woods and Prairie Ridge are nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, CARF/CCRC. Oakwood Lutheran Senior Ministries offers a full spectrum of care to over 1,000 residents at Oakwood Village University Woods and Prairie Ridge.
