Special Events & Activities Monitor (SEAM) volunteers needed to oversee and assist with monthly special programs at Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge Retirement Community. Assistance to include opening/closing Oakwood Prairie Ridge Tree of Life Chapel where programs are held; greeting and helping entertainers with set up upon arrival, operating lights and sound system in chapel for programs as needed and other miscellaneous duties as required. Training to be provided by Oakwood Prairie Ridge independent living Events and Activities Director. Day and time negotiable and flexible based on scheduled special musical/theatrical programs at Oakwood Prairie Ridge and volunteers' availability each month.

Volunteers are greatly needed to provide the independent living Events and Activities Director with additional assistance. This volunteer need provides volunteers with a great opportunity to see quality musical and theatrical performances. People who would like to fill this need will be required to volunteer a minimum of 6 months and go through Oakwood's registration/orientation process to be considered for placement as a volunteer.

Interested persons need to go through Oakwood Village's registration and orientation process, and make a 6 month minimum commitment, to be considered for placement. Additional information/training provided by Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge independent living Events and Activities Director upon placement. Potential volunteers need good vision, organizational and social skills.

 Oakwood Village East is located at 5565 Tancho Drive, near American Family Insurance Headquarters, in the vicinity of Hwy. 151 and I-90/94. From Hwy. 151, take the American Parkway exit and following American Parkway to Tancho Drive. Turn right onto Tancho and immediately turn left into the Oakwood Village East main entrance. Oakwood East is accessible by car only at this time.
