What?
Please meet Matt in the Gathering to get further instruction on foodservice best practices. Most people in this shift will help with serving food. We have a couple of rules when it comes to serving people food so that we can make sure to give great, clean, service to everyone!
- When serving food, always wear gloves!
- Pull your hair back into a hair fastener (we have hair ties at the volunteer check-in table).
- If your gloves become soiled, please make sure to grab a new pair of gloves.
- We have hand sanitizer if you need it.
- Always use a serving utensil to serve food.
- We are trying to feed more than 1500 people, so please give modest serving sizes so that we have enough for everyone!
If you are not assigned to work in the kitchen, please stay in your designated area.
When? Monday, November 24th
Time? Please report to check in at 12:15 pm. Your shift will end at 2:00 pm.
Where? All shifts will check in on Hamilton St. next to the Chamber building. If possible, we encourage you to park a few streets away so that the attendees of the event can find parking close by.
Attire? For all shifts, please wear an apron of your choice to identify as a volunteer. It is also encouraged to wear comfortable shoes as you will be on your feet.
Why? Because we think it's important to come together as a community, to get to know our neighbors a little better, and to give thanks for our blessings, together.
