The Home Fire Campaign
hosts a door-to-door canvassing of neighborhoods in Murray County which includes a installations of smoke alarms and completion of home-safety checklists and plans in vulnerable neighborhoods.
The smoke alarms are dual-sensor with long-life lithium batteries that are tamper resistant and last up to 10 years for the most efficient quality and protection.
The goal each year is to install 500,000 smoke alarms in order to reduce the number of home fire deaths and injuries by 25%. The volunteers will travel into homes in neighborhoods with home safety checklists, family disaster plan templates, and smoke alarms.
