Who We Are
Begun in 1980, Family Support Council is now an umbrella agency with about a dozen programs underneath it. Programs include Camp A.I.M., CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates), Cooperative Parenting and Divorce Classes, Darkness to Light Training, First Steps, Healthy Families, Kids on the Block, Mandated Reporter Training, Nurturing Classes, Oak Haven Second Chance Home, Parent Education, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and Parents as Teachers.
What We Do
The Family Support Council offers services and resources to support and build strong, nurturing families in NW GA. Started in 1980 the Family Support Council is now an umbrella agency, in association with the United Way, that is home to over a dozen programs which support our community. The Family Support Council's mission is to create a model community in which all children are safe, nurtured and empowered to reach their full potential.
