Who We Are
Keep Dalton-Whitfield Beautiful is a group of local residents who want to make a difference in the community to improve the quality of life for everyone. We focus on creating a sustainable, cleaner, and more beautiful place to live, work, and go to school in!
Established in 1989 as the Clean & Beautiful Commission this organization is now a full non-profit. "Keep Dalton-Whitfield Beautiful" is housed under the Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority who provides a staff person to function as executive director. However, as a non-profit Dalton Beautiful relies on volunteers and sponsors to continue its work throughout the year.
What We Do
Keep Dalton-Whitfield Beautiful is a local non-profit dedicated to enabling local residents to create a more beautiful place to live. As an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, our mission is three-fold: • End Littering • Improve Recycling • Beautify Communities Events like the annual Christmas tree and electronics recycling, the river cleanup, our "Turn Up, Clean Up" series, and the educational campaign “Love it, don’t trash it!” are just a glimpse of what we do.
