Who We Are

We are helping frame today's youth with our revised program 'Decisions Today-Success Tomorrow'. This program still carries our former 'Healthy Choices/Healthy Relationships' curriculum with additional information recommended by our high school caoches/teachers.

Volunteer Opportunity with Family Frameworks – Both Bilingual and Non-Bilingual Facilitators Needed

Family Frameworks is excited to enhance our educational outreach by updating our classroom presentations to include both English and Spanish.

To support this initiative, we are also seeking bilingual facilitators who are passionate about making a meaningful impact on local youth. Your involvement will help ensure our non-English speaking students fully understand and engage with our mission and content.

In addition, we would love to also add more non-bilingual facilitators for our 25/26 school year.

Since 2005, Family Frameworks has partnered with high schools across Whitfield and Murray counties as guest speakers in 9th grade Health classes. Our program consists of 80-minute class sessions, delivered once a week for 3 weeks each semester (Whitfield County Schools are 9 weeks whereas DPS Schools will go 18 weeks). Commitments will be for the school year. Volunteers may choose to facilitate individually or co-facilitate ("tag team") with another speaker. Many of our volunteers commit to one class period per session per semester, while others take on additional classes based on their availability. For more information on the school you may be interested in facilitating at please inquire.

Our Mission: To reveal the individual INTRINSIC value in our local youth, amplify healthy relationship characteristics, and illuminate their pathway to success.

Our Vision: We envision a community that embraces healthy behaviors from adolescence to adulthood—forming habits that support wise decision-making, reduce risky behaviors, and strengthen the very framework of our community. We would love for you to consider joining our team of passionate facilitators. Together, we can empower the next generation with knowledge, confidence, and a brighter future.

What We Do

What We Do

Deliver our program to 9th grade Health classes at high schools in Northwest Georgia for 80 minutes per week over a 3-week period (this will be twice for Whitfield County Schools since they change students every 9 weeks) during both the fall and spring semesters. DPS system classes will be for 80 minutes a week for 3 weeks one time in the fall and one time in the spring. Christian Heritage Classes are currently only held in the fall and last 40 minutes for 6 weeks.

Emphasize the "Pathway/Sequence to Success" Model

  1. Graduate High School
  2. Post Secondary Education or Training Highly Recommended
  3. Start or Continue Job/Career
  4. Pursue a relationship/Marriage/Then Family
  • Lesson 1: Building Your Future – Setting Goals That Matter and Student survey. Students learn the “Success Sequence”: graduate, pursue education/training/military, and start a family in that order. This proven path increases the chance of long-term success and helps avoid poverty.
  • Lesson 2: How Your Brain Works – Choices, Stress & Mental Health. We explore teen brain development, how habits form, the impact of stress, and how mental health affects decision-making.
  • Lesson 3: Hormones-Influences-Identity - Finish up with hormones (briefly) STD’s and then start The Truth About Social Media. We dive into the risks of social media and the comparison culture.
  • Lesson 4: Bullying, Cyberbullying & Suicide Prevention. A serious look at how bullying affects mental health and self-worth, with real conversations around suicide awareness, warning signs, and how to seek help.
  • Lesson 5 - Knowing Yourself – Personality Strengths & Weaknesses. Students take a personality assessment to better understand themselves and how to work with others. Your People – Peer Pressure, Friend Groups & Influence. We explore how your circle shapes your choices and mindset—and how to build a strong support system.
  • Lesson 6 - Bringing It Together – Revisit Your Goals. (And can also finish up anything not touched on from the previous week) Students reflect on what they’ve learned and update their goals with a stronger understanding of themselves and the world around them. Finish up with a Survey and hand out shirts.
