Healthy Choices Healthy Relationships Volunteer Training

Can you spare an hour of your time each week? If so, then we need you! In partnership with Dalton City, Whitfield, Murray, and Gordon County High Schools, we teach 9th graders how to make healthy choices in their lives and how to develop healthy relationships using The Dibble Institute’s Healthy Choices Healthy Relationships. It is a seven-week program that focuses on relationships and influences in teenagers lives. Each lesson is very interactive with discussions, videos, and activities. Students learn about the differences between male and female brains and hormones, media, family, and friend influences, dating safety and abuse, bullying, respect, and decision making. Our focus is teaching students how to set goals and how the impact that every relationship they form affects these goals. This is done solely through trained volunteers in the community.

We need volunteers like you to be able to commit to teaching these lessons, once a week for 7 weeks. Due to COVID-19, some classes will be taught in person while others will be taught through live-streaming. Please rsvp to amy@familyframeworks.us if you will be able to attend the training.
